Wall Soccer Club, Inc.    XII . BY LAWS

 Pursuant to Article XII entitled By Laws,Wall Soccer Club,Inc., 

 

the following policies and guidelines are established.

 NOTE: All policies have been categorized into the following sections:

A. Definitions

 (1) Board /Board of Directors-All elected officers and directors.

 (2)     Munchkin Soccer 4 and 5 (added in 1999)

 Mini League-Ages 6 and 7

 Pee Wee League-Ages 8 and 9

 Novice League-Ages 10 and 11

 Intermediate League-Ages 12 thru 15

 For purposes of determining age,the calendar year will be used.The child’s age category is the age the child will be on Dec.3lst of the year which the child is participating in.

B. League Directors

(1)Shall be responsible for supervising the soccer program developed for the specific age level of that league. -

(2) Shall assure that each team has a coach and shall submit the names of coaches to the Board for approval.The director is responsible for keeping  the coaches advised of all matters relating to the league.

 (3) The League Director shall also be responsible for:

 A. Identifying equipment and uniform needs for their league.

 B. Distribution of uniforms and equipment to their coaches.

  C. Collection of equipment at the end of the season.

 D. Keeping standings for their league except Mini league.

 E. Organize and participate in team selections.

 F. Report to the Board on the activities within their league.

 G. Being at their league games to oversee activities of their league.

 H. Report any problems within their league to House League Director,such as injuries,problems with coaches,parents,players etc..

C. Coaches

(1) All coaches must be approved by the Board.

(2) Coaches will collect equipment from league director and return same at end of season to league director.

(3) Coaches will familiarize themselves with all league rules and follow them.

 (4) Coaches shall not leave children unattended at any time.

(5) Coaches must be aware that the objectives of the Club are to promote soccer within Wall and to encourage fair play and sportsmanship.

D.Referees

(1) A committee shall be responsible for assuring that qualified referees are available to officiate all scheduled games.

(2) No referee may officiate a game in which a relative is playing.

E. Equipment and Uniforms

(1) A committee shall be responsible for the purchase and distribution of all equipment and uniforms to assure the objectives of the Club are accomplished in a timely and professional manner.

 (2) The Board will annually determine the quality,quantity and kinds of uniforms to be worn each season for our in-house league.

 (3) Traveling teams shall provide their own uniforms which will be a uniform approved by the Board.

 (4) An Equipment Director shall be appointed by the President and shall be responsible for keeping an up to date inventory of all equipment and the condition of same;securing   a list of any equipment needed and submit same for approval to VP of league and make recommendations for equipment needs. 

 F. Registration

 (1) A. committee shall be appointed by--the President to carry out the registration function.

 (2) The registration committee shall establish the fees,dates,times,location and requirements for registration and submit same to the Board for approva)

 (3) There shall be a late fee for late registrations as recommended by the committee and approved by the Board.

 (4) No registration refunds will be issued after a child has been assigned to a team unless_ specifically approved by the Board.

 (5) No family owing money to the Club shall be allowed to register until their indebtedness is removed.

 G. Field Maintenance- Shall be responsible for:

 (1) Fields

 (2) Goal Posts

 (3) Nets

 (4) Field Markings (lines etc.)

 (5) Corner Flags

 (6) Benches and Bleachers

 (7) Other responsibilities and duties as designated by othe Board or President.

 H.. Publicity

 Responsible for publicizing the Club activities and assuring the General Membership is made aware of upcoming events.

 I. House League Team Selections

 1) A committee selected by the President, to include the League Director,shall be responsible for making up the teams from the registered applicants.

 2) Every effort shall be made to keep the teams to a maximum. of f fifteen (15) players on a team except for  ten((10) in the Mini division.

 3) A player assigned to a team shall not be permitted to change teams unless "hardship" is established and a majority of the coaches in that division, the league director,House director and Board approve.

 (4) A team selection will start, with the players who have played on that team If they have not reached their move up age The remainder of the team will be filled from new applicants with appropriate consideration given to their age for proper balancing of teams.

 J. Schedules

 (1) League Directors shall provide the scheduler with a list of team names,team coaches and telephone numbers and email addresses.The scheduler will then prepare the schedule.

 (2) A copy of the schedule shall be provided to each league director,coach, referee committee, publicity committee and the President. Each of the above must be notified of any schedule changes.

 K. Ways and Means

 (1) A Ways and Means committee shall be appointed by the President to ha.ndle all fund raising activities for the Club including the candy sale, pictures,  refreshment stand and sponsors.

 (2) All fund raising events must be coordinated with the Ways and Means Committee in advance to avoid conflicts with other planned activities by the Club or other local groups and all must be approved by the board.

 (3) The Ways and Means Committee shall see that each sponsor receives a team picture.

 (4) The Ways and Means Committee shall secure Board approval for all fund raisers and make reports of all fund raisers to the Board and see that they are publicized.

 L.  Insurance

 The President shall appoint an insurance chairman to take care of all insurance matters for the Club.  He/she shall make recommendations to the board concerning insurance and shall make sure all policies are kept  up to date. (Insurance is now maintained by NJYS with our annual membership)

 M . Club Colors

 The official colors for the Club shall be red,white and  blue.

  N. Club Rules

 The House and Traveling Directors shall annually submit to the Board for its discussion,revision and approval rules governing their divisons.
